GTA V Folder

The GTA V folder setting tells RPH Log Analyzer where your game is installed — specifically, the folder that contains GTA5.exe. It's used by the System check to look for LSPDFR's files in the right place.

Do I need to set it?

Often, no. When your RagePluginHook.log is still inside your game folder (the normal case), the app auto-detectsthe location and you don't have to do anything.

You should set it manually if:

  • you've moved or copied the log out of your game folder before opening it, or
  • the system check says it couldn't confirmyour GTA V files because it isn't sure where the game lives.

How to set it

  1. Open Settings (the cog icon).
  2. Under GTA V folder, click Browse…
  3. Select the folder that contains GTA5.exe (for a Steam install this is usually …\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V).

To go back to automatic detection, click Clear.

What it's used for

The folder is used only to check that key files are present and in the right place — for example LSPD First Response.dll and the LMS support libraries. The app reads these locations; it never modifies anything in your game folder.

A note on OneDrive

If your GTA V folder sits inside a OneDrive folder, the system check will flag it. OneDrive can sync or lock game files while you play, which causes crashes and odd behaviour. Installing the game outside of OneDrive is recommended.

Privacy

This setting stays on your computer and is used purely for the local file checks. No content is uploaded from your GTA V directory — the only file that ever leaves your machine is your log, and only if you explicitly enable it (for example by sharing a report). The folder path and file checks themselves never leave your computer.
