Online Plugin Checkup

The Online plugin checkup takes the plugins found in your report and checks them against a live plugin database to flag anything that's outdated, broken, or known to cause conflicts. It's optional and marked Beta.

This feature is powered by our partner LSPDFRHelper, the community support tool behind the LSPDFR Discord bot. Because it compares your plugins against an up-to-date catalog synced with LSPDFR.com, it catches version problems that a purely offline check can't.

What it checks

When you run the online checkup, the plugins detected in your log are matched against LSPDFRHelper's catalog, which tracks:

  • 50,000+ plugins, kept in sync with LSPDFR.com automatically.
  • Plugin status — whether a mod is Normal, Broken, or hosted externally.
  • Version checking to identify outdated plugins that should be updated.
  • Known error patterns and compatibility conflicts, with actionable suggestions where available.

How it works

When you enable the online checkup, your full log is uploaded to LSPDFRHelper's API so it can detect every plugin present and compare each one against its live catalog. The API returns the current status for each plugin, which is then folded back into your report.

Results are folded back into your report alongside the local checks, so outdated or broken plugins are called out in the same place as everything else.

Turning it on

The online checkup is off until you enable it, since it's the one step that talks to an external service. You can switch it on in Settings, and turn it back off at any time to keep the analyzer fully offline.

Privacy

This is the one step that sends data off your machine: your full log is uploaded to LSPDFRHelper so it can identify and check every plugin. Review your log if you'd prefer not to share certain details, and if you'd rather keep everything local, simply leave this feature off.

Because this step involves a partner service, LSPDFRHelper's own terms apply to the lookup, in addition to our own Privacy Policy.
